Tour bus passenger rescued after fall

A passenger of a disabled tour bus had to be rescued Sunday morning after falling down a steep embankment.

The incident began just after 8 a.m. when the bus had mechanical difficulties in the northbound lanes of the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the 80.6 mile marker.Some of the passengers left the bus, and one of them fell down a steep embankment.Franklin Township firefighters used steep terrain rescue gear to bring the victim back to the roadway.Lehighton paramedics treated the victim at the scene.
