The engagement of Caitlyn Ruch, daughter of Brian and Brenda Ruch of Andreas, to Jay Pilla, son of Tom and Nancy Pilla of Nesquehoning, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2012 graduate of Lehigh Carbon Community College, where she earned an associate degree in applied sciences.She is employed as a certified occupational therapy assistant with rehab care at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital in Coaldale.The prospective bridegroom is also a 2009 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2013 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing.He is employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.The couple plans to wed in the fall.
