Seven area residents were qualified by District Attorney Christine Holman to be placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition probation program, a one-time offer made to first offenders charged with a non-violent crime to serve a sentence to clear their name.

Senior Judge D. Michael Stine, at a hearing held Thursday in Schuylkill County court, admitted them into the program, all for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Idelfonso Martinez, 41, of 109 W. High St., Coaldale, driving under the influence of alcohol, assessed $500 to defray cost of the program, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account , $50 to MCare fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend alcohol safe driving school, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Martinez was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers.

John Anthony Miller, 19, of 63 Orchard Road, Barnesville, DUI of drugs, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to MCare fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $460 to SMC, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, submit to random urine tests, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Miller was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Joseph Krebs.

Amy Alison Minzola, 39, 224 Hope Ave., Hazle Township, DUI of drugs, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to MCare,$50 to CJEA, $460 to SMC, attend safety school, receive outpatient substance abuse treatment, perform 19 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Minzola was cited by Kline Township Patrolman James Patterson.

Anthony Michael Oswald, 20, of 38 Williams St., Barnesville, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours of community service. Oswald was cited by Mahanoy Township Officer Brandon Alexander.

Jose E. Contes, 25, of 153 S. Bennett Court, Hazleton, carrying a firearm without a license, DUI of drugs, possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to MCare fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $460 to SCM, attend safety school, undergo outpatient substance abuse treatment, submit to random drug tests, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Contes was cited by McAdoo Patrolman Steven Homanko.

Stacey Stamler, 45, of 32 David Road, Hazleton, DUI of alcohol, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to MCare fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to SMC, attend safety school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 60 days. Stamler was cited by McAdoo Patrolman William Curilla.

Scott Lukas White, 22, of 15 N. Kennedy Drive, Apt. 2, McAdoo, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. White was cited by McAdoo Patrolman William Curilla.

Each defendant must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
