State police report Monroe crashes

State police at Stroudsburg reported on crashes probed by troopers on Monroe County roads.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 8:42 a.m. on May 17 along Route 209 in Hamilton Township. Aarin E. Getz, 39, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2015 Ford Fusion southbound when the vehicle went onto the shoulder and struck a guide rail. Getz said she swerved to avoid a deer. Getz was not injured but the vehicle was towed.

• A crash was reported at 3:45 p.m. on May 19 along Interstate 380 in Tobyhanna Township. Troopers said Ignacio Ostorva, 47, of Tobyhanna, and Liz M. Arevalo Erazo, 28, of Long Pond, were both southbound. Arevalo Erazo began slowing down for traffic ahead of her when her 2019 Toyota RAV 4 was struck in the rear by Ostorva’s 2004 Honda Civic. No one was injured. The Honda was towed.

Troopers cited Ostorva for following too closely.
