Mark Binder, 28, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 1:45 a.m. Jan. 1 in Franklin Township, after which time he was jailed on an outstanding warrant.

Police said they were called to the area of Long Run Road and Canal Street in the township regarding an intoxicated person in the roadway. Police said upon arrival they located Binder and determined him to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree of endangering himself.Police said they learned he was also wanted on a warrant in Carbon County for failure to appear for a court proceeding. He was lodged in the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning.
