Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) recently honored the achievement of Meegan Rossi, of Jim Thorpe, who earned the Girl Scout Gold Award. The award is the highest honor that can be achieved in the Girl Scouts of the USA. To earn the award, Rossi conducted a food drive at Jim Thorpe Area High School, in addition to building additional shelving units at the Christ Lutheran Church food pantry in Jim Thorpe. For her efforts, Rossi was also honored with a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
