The engagement of Cariss Marie Frisch to Richard Lee Mogel, both of Ashland, has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Suzanne and Michael Livingston of Lehighton. She is the granddaughter of Margaret and Paul Shinsec of Palmerton and the late Martin Frisch; and the great-granddaughter of the late Richard and Margaret Bowers of Lehighton.She is a 2005 graduate of Palmerton Area High School and is currently employed at Tractor Supply Company in St. Claire.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Kathy Marks of Hegins and Richard Lee Mogel of Reading.He is a 2007 graduate of Tri Valley High School and is currently employed by the Ashland Foundry in Ashland.The couple is planning a wedding for March 21 of this year, which is the birthday of her late grandfather Martin.
