State police at Frackville reported on two crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways, both occurring on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Troopers said Samantha L. Blume, 22, of Shenandoah, was driving a 2006 Jeep Commander northbound on Route 924 in East Union Township, about 2:30 p.m. when her vehicle traveled into the southbound lane.
It then left the road on the west side and traveled north for about 45 feet before striking an embankment with the front end. After striking the embankment the Jeep continued north on the west berm for 63 feet before coming to rest facing north.
Blume was not injured. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
A one-vehicle crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. along Route 895 (Summer Valley Road), in East Brunswick Township.
Michele M. Bosack, 48, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2001 Ford Expedition northbound when she lost control. The vehicle traveled off the right shoulder and struck a snow covered embankment.
Upon impact the Expedition overturned onto its passenger side in the right lane of travel.
Bosack was not injured but her vehicle had to be towed. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, troopers said.
