The Tamaqua Volunteers group is holding a large community snowball battle at 1 p.m. Sunday in Tamaqua at the Willing Skate Park, located behind Boyer's Food Market.

A donation of $1 is asked, but not required; which will benefit the victims of the Ben Titus Road fire in Rush Township in January.The event, open to all ages, will last about 20 minutes and will include a few snowball contests and a large snowball battle at the end.No tools or really close throws allowed.For more information or questions, call the group at (570) 668-1234.
