Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently chosen as the Students of the Month for the month of January.
The students were recognized for their efforts in displaying the virtue of self-control. Here are quotes from each student.
Kindergarten, Quentin Petschauer: "I try to get my behavior clip on blue every day."
First grade, Connor Rehnert: "I try to do what is right, even if it is hard to do."
Second grade, Dylan Newton: "I control my actions in class with my classmates and Mr. Davis."
Third grade, Alfred Collevechio, III: "I am always well-behaved in class. I raise my hand instead of calling out the answers. I try to not get upset even when something is difficult and frustrating.
Fourth grade, Hannah Soberick: "I showed self-control when I fell off my sofa and hurt my knee. I did not cry."
Fifth grade, Cole McArdle: "I congratulate my classmates for their accomplishments and I don't stare or laugh at a student who is getting corrected. I don't moan or complain when I have homework. I am satisfied with what I have in life. I am patient while people are taking a test or exam. When I win I don't brag and when I lose I don't show anger."
Sixth grade, Sophia Tenisci: "I am an example of self-control because I do not get upset with my classmates and I am not mean to my classmates or teachers."
Seventh grade, Zinnia Ruch: "I am very good at controlling myself. I am not too loud in or out of school."
Eighth grade, Alexus Eschbach: "I try to have patience in every situation."
