The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter weather advisory from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Snow will be heavy at times with an accumulation of 3 to 5 inches.

Precipitation will begin as rain and snow mix early Monday and then will start to changeover to all snow by mid-morning.

The snow could become heavy for a few hours late Monday morning.

Temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s, dropping into teens and lower 20s Monday night. Any leftover moisture Monday night will freeze to untreated surfaces.
