Elzbieta Stachowicz, 56, of Albrightsville, has been arrested for shoplifting by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said the she attempted to steal lump crab meat and over-the-counter medication valued at $70.98, but was detained by in-store security at the Shop Rite store, 107 Kinsley Drive, Brodheadsville.The incident happened at 1:05 p.m. Saturday.
