The Palmerton Area School District has announced that schools will have early dismissal on Dec. 23 and then close for the winter holiday until school is back in session on Jan. 2, which will be a full day.

Please note the following details that will have an effect on bus schedules on Dec. 23:• Secondary students (7-12) dismissal at 11 a.m.• Elementary students (K-6) dismissal at 11:45 a.m.• All a.m. and p.m. kindergarten students will attend the a.m. session. (Early dismissal day schedule for kindergarten students is 8:30 to 11:45 a.m.)
