Schuylkill Township supervisor says name was used illegally

During the public comment portion of a meeting Tuesday, Schuylkill Township Supervisor Chuck Fayash accused one of the other two supervisors of illegally using his name to order things through the mail.

Fayash did not say which supervisor, Chairman Charles Hosler or Christine Verdier, he believes is responsible. Reading from a statement he said was prepared by a private investigator he has hired, Fayash said that he "believes the person doing this is someone who sits on council."He said he has gotten handwriting samples which the private investigator will compare to evidence that's been retrieved. He said he plans to file a lawsuit against the person when his suspicions are confirmed. After the meeting, Hosler and Verdier declined to comment on the accusations.Fayash also questioned the supervisors' access to the township's computer password. He questioned why Hosler's daughter had been using the township computer; Hosler responded that temporary secretary/treasurer Suzanne Apanavage had needed help working with a certain program and that his daughter assisted her without a fee to the township.Fayash asked that each supervisor have a password to use the computer, and asked township solicitor Mike Greek if he thought that all supervisors should have access to the township's files. In response, Greek suggested a restriction to certain files, pointing out that the township secretary/treasurer is bonded to handle the township's financial transactions.Verdier also responded, saying that there are two passwords for computer access, one for the secretary/treasurer and a separate one for the supervisors.Fayash had made a motion that each supervisor have an individual password, which Verdier seconded, on the condition that the township's computer programmer finds that to be possible. The supervisors voted unanimously to approve the motion.
