Resident complains about fireworks

A Franklin Township resident is seeking relief from hearing the constant boom of fireworks.

Dennis Green of Long Run Road, asked Franklin Township supervisors for help in having to listen to the constant boom of M-80s each night."I usually don't get too wound up," said Green, "But my house shook a few time."Green said that he's called police three or four times and so far it hasn't deterred who is setting off the fireworks."I can understand fireworks for Fourth of July and New Year's Eve, that's a celebration, but this is constant," he said. "I'd like to see what you can do to help."Green said that he was also speaking for his elderly neighbors who would like a little peace and quiet at night."I'm a bus driver and I have to get up early," he said. "School is going to start soon and I need my sleep."Green said that police have tried."I don't like tying up the police with this issue," said Green. "But I'd like to see it end."Green said he thought that such types of fireworks were illegal, so he is unsure where the person or persons is getting them.
