Head coach - Norb Lienhard (22nd season)Assistant coach - Janet FarraDistrict 11 Class - AALeague - IndependentLast year's record - 1-15Key Losses - Brandon Hoffman, Austin FaylorKey returnees - Matt Miller (Sr.), John Lowin (Sr.), Luke Eggert (Sr.), Brett Luicana (Sr.), Roman Raytsis (Sr)Others to watch - Luke Carter (Jr.), Chris Widdicombe (Jr.), Adam Brown (Jr.), Mike Huntzberry (Sr.), Shaun DiCostanzo (So.)Outlook - Jim Thorpe will return its top four players from a year ago. The singles players picked up invaluable experience last season and Lienhard feels that experience, combined with their hard work so far this year, can take the Olympians' game to the next level.Quotable - "I like the fact that the players are all equal in ability and that we don't really have a superstar. Throughout the season, it is possible that the lineup could change a lot. So far, we've been pretty good, the kids are working hard, they listen and they want to improve." Head coach Norb Lienhard.LEHIGHTONHead coach - Dave Sherry (20th season)Assistant coach - Fenna MillenDistrict 11 Class - AALeague - IndependentLast year's record - 5-12Key Losses - Peter PhelanKey returnees - Tegan Durishin (Jr.), Spence David (Sr.), Emily Cerimele (Sr.), Josh Knappenberger (Jr.), Andrea Schafer (Jr.)Others to watch - Thomas Phelan (Jr.)Outlook - Sherry is expecting wins from the Indians this season. Pottsville, Blue Mountain, Pocono Mountain West and Pleasant Valley are the teams on the schedule that are bigger and could be more difficult to compete with, but he is hoping that the Tribe can remain competitive with the remainder of teams on their schedule.Quotable - "I'd love to have a winning season. It's been a while since we've had one. Right now, we're hitting indoor off the walls, but you don't get the same feel. I don't expect to have an outdoor practice (before matches start), so for the small group of kids that worked with me in the summer, that should really help them out. Because then we at least have some kids with experience," Head coach Dave Sherry.PALMERTONHead coach - Alex Knoll (4th season)District 11 Class - AALeague - ColonialLast year's record - 0-18Key Losses - noneKey returnees - Rich Roselli (Sr.), Seth Andress (Jr.), Jake Brown (Jr.), Kristen Ahner (Sr.)Others to watch - Sal Melo (Jr.), Marc Roselli (Fr.)Outlook - Coach Knoll likes what he has seen thus far. With 20 players out for the team, this is one of the highest amounts of participants in recent seasons at Palmerton. Also, with his top players returning, this year's squad is looking to be on the upswing.Quotable - "We're hoping that we can improve with every practice and match. That's what we are striving to accomplish. With Moravian Academy, Southern Lehigh and several other strong teams, the Colonial League schedule will be a challenge. We feel we're in the similar category with the teams in our non-league schedule. So we're hoping to be competitive with those teams." Head coach Alex Knoll .PLEASANT VALLEYHead coach - Mark Allison (21st season)Assistant coach - Ralph WeichandDistrict 11 Class - AAALeague - Eastern Pennsylvania ConferenceLast year's record - 13-3Key Losses - Jon Walmach, Brandon Percey, Stephen Barry, Kevin Bantel, Eric GalanteKey returnees - Jon White (Sr.), Erik Ammerman (Sr.), Anthony taldone (Jr.)Others to watch - Davis Reiss (Sr.) Steven Nale (Jr.)Outlook - Without getting out on the courts because of the weather, along with losing a lot of players, it should be pretty wide open for the Bears this season. There are many positions to fill, so it should be interesting.Quotable - "My goal is to get the right players in the right positions and also to improve as the season progresses. My main focus will be working with the doubles teams and focus on them." Head coach Mark Allison.
