Students attending Jim Thorpe High School for the first time this fall will get a chance to tour the building on Aug. 21.

An orientation for new district students, grades nine to 12, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the high school commons. Parents and guardians are invited to attend.In addition to a tour, attendees will have a chance to meet students currently attending the high school and get questions answered.A light lunch will be served.Anyone planning on attending should call the guidance office at 570-325-5137.An orientation for students who are already in the district but entering ninth grade will be held the same day at 1 p.m.
