Walnutport couple wed 50 years

Sharon and Dwight Redline of Walnutport, formerly of Kresgeville, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 20, 1964 at St. Matthew's Church in Kunkletown by the Rev. Kline.Sharon is the daughter of the late Warren and Tillie (Dotter) Getz of Kresgeville. Dwight is the son of the late Clayton and Ruth (Graver) Redline of Kunkletown.Sharon retired from Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home in Kunkletown in 2006 after 10 years as a nursing assistant. She previously worked at Brookmont Health Care Center in Effort for 10 years as a nursing assistant.Dwight retired in 2005 from Alstom Corp., formerly Ecolaire and Ingersol Rand in Easton, after 42 years as a fitter-welder.They have three children: a daughter, Kim, wife of Larry D. George of Palmerton; a son, Kerry, of Garner, North Carolina; and a son, Kyle, and his wife, Fran (Whitmore) of Kresgeville.They have five grandchildren: Justin Redline, Tiffani George, Monica Redline, Joshua George and Jamie Redline. They also have three great-grandchildren.The couple was honored at a surprise celebration on June 21 at the Palmerton Rod and Gun Club, given by their family. On June 22 the couple renewed their wedding vows during a church service at Salem St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kresgeville with the Rev. Deborah Scheffey, pastor, officiating.
