State police at Frackville are investigating a rock throwing incident in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Raymond Ebersol Jr., 48, of Paxinos, Northumberland County, was driving a 2004 Kenworth tractor with trailer northbound on Route 924 in West Mahanoy Township, at 1:30 a.m. Monday when a person ran onto the road, waving his arms in an attempt to get Ebersol to slow down. Ebersol slowed down when his tractor was struck by two rocks that damaged the passenger side windshield and passenger side sleeper window, causing an estimated $700 in damages.The suspects, operating all-terrain vehicles, then fled east into a wooded area.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
