A Lehighton man faces a DUI charge after his vehicle lost control and rolled over Monday afternoon.

State Police at Lehighton said Mark David Felker, 21, was operating his 2001 Hyundai Sedan along Golf Road in Lower Towamensing Township at around 5:30 p.m. as Palmerton Borough Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run in their borough. The suspect vehicle fled the scene traveling north on Golf Road in Lower Towamensing Township, at which time Felker lost control of his vehicle, and the vehicle rolled onto its passenger side.Felker was not injured and was wearing his safety belt. Further investigation determined Felker to be driving under the influence, and in possession of a controlled substance. Charges are to be filed in District Court 56-3-02.Palmerton Police and Blue Ridge Towing assisted at the scene.
