The Palmerton Area Historical Society's Heritage Center front window pays tribute to spring with its charming decorations.

Inside, the display of the New Jersey Zinc Company collection will be the featured subject for the rest of the month of April.Everyone is invited to visit the informative display about the company that is so relevant to the town's history. The hours of the center, 410 Delaware Ave., are 1-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, noon-4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.The Palmerton Area Historical Society holds its regular general monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of the month in the Knight's Gallery of the Palmerton Area Library. After a brief business meeting, it is usually followed by a presentation.On Monday, April 14, the program for the evening will be a DVD made by former Palmerton resident Joe Bakos titled, "Life Along the Lehigh," with an emphasis on "Palmerton, The First Hundred Years."
