A vehicle stop in Tamaqua led to the execution of an outstanding warrant for a Lansford man.

Eric Stilitino, 33, of 316 E. Kline Ave., was operating a motor vehicle on East Elm Street at 12:35 a.m. on Sept. 13 when he was stopped by police due to an expired registration sticker. A routine records check determined that Stilitino was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, for failure to pay fines.

Stilitino was arrested and taken before the judge. He was released after making a $200 payment on his outstanding fines.

New fines were added to his balance as he was charged with driving with an expired registration and driving with a suspended license.
