Thirty first time offenders of non-violent crimes were admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) probation program by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine at hearings held in Schuylkill County Court.

If the defendants complete the probation program and meet all the costs and conditions, they can be cleared of the criminal charge.

All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.

Gabriel Santiago, 19, of 111 Lansford Court, Lansford, on charges of simple assault and harassment of a teenager in Tamaqua, assessed $350 assessment fee to defray cost of program, and perform 20 hours of community service. Santiago was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig.

Chantelle A. Klinger, 30, Frackville, formerly of Ashland, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, and perform 20 hours community service. Klinger was cited by Shenandoah Capt. George Carado.

Brandon Ryan Reed, 19, Shenandoah Heights, possession of a controlled substance (CS) when stopped on Gold Star Highway in Shenandoah, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, and perform 10 hours community service. On a summary charge of operating a vehicle without safe equipment was fined $25 plus costs. Reed was cited by Patrolman Joshua Pastucka.

Kelly Ann Wensel, 42, Saint Clair, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to MCARE fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC), attend alcohol highway safe driving school, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Ryan Charles Forgotch, 20, Shenandoah, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when stopped on Gold Star Highway, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. Joseph Michael Yurkonis, 19, Pottsville, theft of vehicle owned by Theresa Competus and parked in 500 block of Forest Lane, Minersville, arson by setting car on fire in Forestville, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy, placed for 24 months, assessed $350, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service, and make restitution of $2,000 to victim. Angela Marie Clymer, 37, White Haven, simple assault and resisting arrest,in the 500 block on Morris Street, Frackville, assessed $350, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. On a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $25 plus costs.
