LINDA KOEHLER/TIMES NEWS Over 25 local organizations from Girl and Boy Scouts, to Western Pocono Community Library, to Blue Ridge Vol. Fire Co. had displays at the 5th Ross Township Community Day at the VanBuskirk-Haney Park on Saturday. The event is held to inform residents what is available to them in their community. Such as the Hamilton Jackson Pocono (HJP) Park & Open Space Commission. Debra Morrishow, volunteer, Lori Bloch, president of the Friends of HJP and Pat Famoso, volunteer were on hand to explain just what HJP is. Bloch says they will have the Dog Park open sometime next year. Currently there are four locations with the old mill on Neola Road, Sciota, one of them.
