A Monroe County woman is facing charges after she allegedly swung a machete at her partner during a domestic dispute.
Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 138 Bull Run Road, Long Pond, on Sept. 12 about 5 p.m. to a report of a domestic incident involving a knife.
Through the investigation police learned that Linda Reed, 47, of that address, had swung a machete at her partner, Pamela DeBrule, earlier in the day during a dispute. The machete was found and seized for evidence.
Reed was taken into custody and charged with aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment, and possession of instruments of crime.
She was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment, police said.
