Tamaqua Salvation Army has prayer room

The Tamaqua Salvation Army will be opening its prayer room for a continuous 24 hour/7-day period during the week of Sept. 22 through Sept. 28. The continual week of prayer is part of a Salvation Army worldwide effort to bathe participating communities, and the world, in prayer.

Each of the Salvation Army's Network of Prayer Rooms is pledging to pray for 24 hours a day for a specific week, carrying the "baton of prayer" from location to location.Tamaqua's event will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 22 at 105 W. Broad St., Tamaqua. The public is welcome to participate and may schedule a time by calling (570) 668-0410.
