Slatington Library notes

The Slatington Public Library will be closed the week the Oct. 7-12 because the ceiling is being painted. It will reopen Monday, Oct. 14.

Debra Bartlieb will be offering Yoga Time Story Time at the library, starting Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 4:15-5 p.m. for grades K-2. Anyone interested may call to sign-up.The library is preparing for its 17th annual Chinese auction to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Diamond Fire Co. Social Hall. The library is looking for donations of handcrafted items, gift baskets, gift cards and like new items. Items can be dropped off at the library during operational hours.The library's preschool story program started this past Wednesday at 11 a.m. All are welcome.Sara, one of the Therapy Dog International's "Tail Waggin" Tutors, would like to listen to beginning readers who wish to read to her for 15 minutes. Call for more information.The library takes donations of books, but does not take encyclopedias, National Geographic, or Reader's Digest condensed books.
