Several Carbon County employees received permission from the commissioners on Thursday to attend various training seminars and conferences.

Area Agency on Aging: Ethel White, Mary Ann Marzen and Sandra Wisnewski to Protective Services Basic Enrollment - Investigative Interviewing, in Clark's Summit, Lackawanna County, at a cost of mileage and meals.Children and Youth Services: Sallianne Newton and Anissa Nunnemacher to PCYA Quartly meeting in State College, at a cost of a $100 conference fee, lodging, meals and mileage.Human Resources: Karen Christman for a HIPAA Privacy and Security Compliance webinar in Jim Thorpe, at no cost to the county.Adult Probation: Toby Butz to the Basic Firearms Academy in Palmyra, Lebanon County, at a cost of lodging and meals.District Justices: Donna L. Peck and Lynn Marie Donnelly to Adavnced Accounting in Allentown, at a cost of mileage and meals.The same two employees will attend the 2013 MDJS workshop in Lehighton, at a cost of mileage and meals.Domestic Relations: Mary Kunkel to the fall Director's Meeting in State College at a cost of mileage, meals and lodging.Kunkel will also attend the DRAP quarterly board meeting in Harrisburg, again at a cost of mileage, meals and lodging.Juvenile Court: Janelle Balliet to the 2013 Pennsylvania Conference on Juvenile Justice in Harrisburg, at a cost of $275 conference fee.
