When you have the worst week out of all of the writers there's not much you have to brag about and that's the case here.

Going 9-6 when quite a few guys were 12-3 is definitely nothing to brag about.So there is nothing left to do but put the nose to the grindstone and try and bounce back a little bit.Jason Boris and Andy Steinmetz might feel like it's a two man race, but don't count out that Bob Ford who is lurking in the shadows.Meanwhile, this guy will just try to make it back up into the shadows.So with Week 8 knocking on the door, here goes:TAMAQUA AT PANTHER VALLEY - A big game for the Raiders because if they can win out they might just sneak into post-season playoffs somewhere. Marian, 21-20.SCHUYLKILL HAVEN VS. JIM THORPE - It was a rough Saturday afternoon for the Olympians last week and the Hurricanes also had a tough time with Tamaqua last Friday. One of these weeks, Thorpe is going to surprise someone and this week it comes close ... Schuylkill Haven, 28-27.PEN ARGYL AT NORTHWESTERN - Tigers dropped a real tough one to archrival Northern Lehigh last week and it doesn't get easier this week when the unbeaten Green Knights visit their turf ... Pen Argyl, 28-0.NORTHERN LEHIGH AT BANGOR - Have gone with the Bulldogs every week this season, but after watching what I saw in the Slaters big, strong line last week, the Bulldogs will get quite the test. Going with the home team ... Bangor, 21-14.PALMERTON AT CATASAUQUA - Roughies are coming off two tough losses to Bangor and Pen Argyl and seem to be a bit banged up. Blue Bombers know they play better on the road and need to win two of their last three to have any chance at the post-season ... Palmerton, 14-7.LEHIGHTON AT POCONO MOUNTAIN WEST - There is something about the Indians that I like, despite falling short against the Mountaineers last week. This week, they don't fall short ... Lehighton, 20-14.PLEASANT VALLEY AT EAST STROUDSBURG SOUTH - Jimmy Terwilliger's Bears take care of his alma mater for him this time around ... Pleasant Valley, 35-14.EAST STROUDSBURG NORTH AT STROUDSBURG - North held the MVC lead until it was spanked by Pleasant Valley last week. I think they get spanked again ... Stroudsburg, 28-14.PALISADES AT NOTRE DAME - Crusaders get another win at home and the real Notre Dame beats USC ... Notre Dame, 28-0.SAUCON VALLEY AT SOUTHERN LEHIGH - Spartans are still in the district playoff hunt ... Southern Lehigh, 35-7.SALISBURY AT WILSON - Falcons could still be riding the high from last week's win over Palisades. Warriors need a win soon ... Wilson, 21-16.MAHANOY AREA AT NORTH SCHUYLKILL - The Spartans are the "real deal". Enough said ... North Schuylkill, 35-7.EASTON AT FREEDOM - Patriots had a big win last week for us so there is no reason not to go with them again this week ... Freedom, 21-20.NAZARETH AT PARKLAND - Haven't gone against the Blue Eagles yet this season, but after the Trojans showed some power last week against Central Catholic, this could be the week they go down ...
