Palmerton Democratic Club opening meeting Tuesday

The Palmerton Area Democratic Club (PADC) will hold its opening meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown.

In addition to outlining programs and projects for the coming year, a guest speaker will give an update on constituent services available through the local congressman's office."Once again this year the PADC will continue its program of supporting the Food Bank run by the Community Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches (CACPAC)," PADC President Sarina Berlow said. "We appreciate it if those attending each meeting would remember to bring canned goods to donate for those in need."The area covered by the club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township. Meetings are monthly, the second Tuesday of the month, Sept. to May at 7 p.m. at the Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown.
