Volunteers with the Hometown Fire Company, along with the Rush Township Recreation Board, are hosting a Community Day on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 pm. at the newly remodeled fire station.

Rush Township businesses will also be on hand showcasing their products and offering special community day deals.

Entertainment includes a DJ from 1 to 4 p.m., and performance by Remember When from 4 to 7 p.m. Spectators are asked to bring a chair to listen to the music.

Other free activities include face painting, bounce house, games, dunk tunk and more.

At dark, visitors will be able to enjoy fireworks at the Miller Park, located at the intersection of Miller Avenue and Grove Street.

The event will be held rain or shine.
