A Carbon County jury panel recently returned a verdict in favor of the defendants in a malpractice suit.
The suit was filed by Lorrie Stang, of Sewell, N.J., individually and as administratrix of the estate of John Stang.
The defendants in the case weere Dr. Deborah Ann Smith, M.D., Jim Thorpe; Dr. Neil Lesitsky, M.D., Albrightsville; Dr. Joseph McGinley, D.O., Lehighton; Dr. Patrick J. Hanley, D.O., Jim Thorpe; Dr. Rajinish Chaudhry, M.D., Pottsville; and the Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus-Lehighton.
Stang alleged malpractice against the defendants in their treatment of John Stang.
The trial began with jury selection which began on Sept. 30 and was completed on Oct. 1. Testimony began in the afternoon of Oct. 1. The trial ended on Friday, Oct. 11, with the jury finding in favor of the defendants and rewarding no damages.
The trial was before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic.
