The portfolio value as of Sept. 30 was $69,892,378, which represents an increase of $8,688,241 from the start of 2013."That equates to a year-to-date rate of return of 14.2 percent," Crampsie said. "We're well ahead of the actuarial assumption (of 7.5 percent). We are having a great year performance wise."He added that October was a volatile month for the market due to the uncertainties in Washington D.C., but hopes that the news of an agreement will help the market level off.
