Two people are facing charges following a Sept. 21 incident in Rush Township.
Township police said Cody E. Pehala, 20, of Drums, was operating a motor vehicle on Claremont Avenue at 2:03 a.m. and was stopped. Pehala exhibited signs of intoxication and was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., in Pottsville, for blood work. Officers also discovered a small amount of marijuana and a scale in the vehicle.
Test results indicate a blood-alcohol content of .052 percent. Pehala will be charged with driving under the influence, underage drinking, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the vehicle, Colten Potkey, 20, of Drums will be charged with underage drinking.
