State police at the Bethlehem barracks arrested June K. Whittington, 50, of Whitehall Township, for failure to drive at a safe speed, following an accident on Oct. 6 on Route 873, south of Slatington.

Police said she was driving a vehicle northbound at 10:45 p.m. when it crashed into a trailer of an oncoming vehicle that was turning into the Slatington Floor Center, Washington Township. The vehicle was operated by Bogich Slobodan, 66, of Nashville, Tenn.Police said Whittington left the scene of the accident, although she was not arrested for having done so. She sustained a minor injury, police said.
