Two drivers were injured in two, one-vehicle crashes, investigated by state police at Frackville on Schuylkill County roads.
A crash was reported at 2:23 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township. Troopers said Kyle D. Matis, 21, of Carlise, Cumberland County, as driving a 2007 Honda Accord southbound and passed a truck. He then made a lane changed into the left lane in front of the truck. As he made the change he had to brake for another vehicle in front of him. When he braked he lost control of his car on the icy roadway.
The car went onto the west berm and struck an embankment, continuing south along the embankment before striking a tree. The Honda then rolled over several times before coming to rest on its wheels facing north.

Troopers investigated a one vehicle crash about 7:44 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, along SR61 in Blythe Township. Troopers said Brandon M. Donati, 17, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer northbound in the passing lane at a speed greater than prudent for conditions. While negotiating a left curve Donati lost control of the vehicle, which spun 170 degrees counter-clockwise. The Explorer then slid backward across the right lane and onto the shoulder. The Explorer then rolled partially onto the driver's side.
After impact the Explorer bounced off the guiderail, slid across both northbound lanes on its driver's side, then flipped back onto its wheels and came to rest along the west berm against the guiderail.
Donati was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, by Saint Clair ambulance. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
Troopers cited Donati for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe see.
