Due to inclement weather expected in Carbon County this week, Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) has announced the postponement of his Veterans Expo, which had been scheduled for today at the American Legion in Lehighton.

"I'm looking forward to meeting with our region's veterans but I don't want to encourage anyone to drive in poor weather conditions," Heffley said."After consulting with the vendors involved in the event, we decided to move it to next week."The expo is now scheduled for 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at the American Legion, at 314 Veterans Avenue in Lehighton.Information will be available at the expo on the services the Commonwealth has made available to veterans.All veterans are encouraged to participate.
