A Carbon County business has been cited by the state liquor control board's Wilkes-Barre enforcement office.
JTAMS Inc., at 14 W. Broadway, Jim Thrope, was cited for used, or permitted to be used on the inside of their licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard beyond the licensee's property line. The violation occurred on Sept. 28.
This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
