Several area residents were arraigned on criminal counts on Monday at the Schuylkill County Courthouse before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon. All entered pleas of not guilty.

Arraigned were:

Matthew Donald Matalavage, 19, of 223 Market St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Police with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and possession of a small amount of marijuana, three counts of criminal use of cell phone, and one count of criminal conspiracy, unauthorized use of a other vehicles, fleeing police, harassment, and failing to have a driver's license.

Leslie Ann Napolitano, 27, of 411 E. Broad St., Apt. 7, Tamaqua, formerly of Lansford, charged by Tamaqua police with three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of cell phone, and possession; and two counts of driving while operating privileges were suspended.

Latia Tatyana Matrician, 21, of 75 Ben Titus Road, Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua police with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of cell phone, and possession. She also was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, and failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic.

Kayleen Elise Bumberger, of 30 Hunter St., Apt. 1, Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua police with three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of cell phone, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Travis Stephen Hill, of 63 Bowe St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Anthony Stanell, with criminal conspiracy, delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of cell phone, and possession.

Jacob Kamant, 23, of 644 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Joseph Krebs, with altering or forging a license plate, failing to activate turning signals when required, having an improper license on his car (had foreign plate), driving an unregistered vehicle, and violations concerning a driver's license.

Christopher Christian Carrillo, 46, of 121 E. Jackson St., McAdoo, charged by McAdoo Patrolman William Curilla, with DUI of alcohol, stop sign violations, failing to activate turning signals as required, and failing to have a driver's license.

Seth George Mellor, 22, of 27 Gamelands Drive, Walker Township, charged by Walker Township Patrolman Carl R. Breiner, with DUI of alcohol, disorderly conduct, careless driving, failing to drive at a safe speed; and two counts of harassment. The police report states his car went off the Valley Road and struck a telephone pole and the car landed on its roof.

Melissa Baer, 19, of 27 Center St., Tamaqua, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Anthony Stanell, with harassment of Norma Fritz and disorderly conduct.

David G. Miller, 24, of 65 Sunny Drive, MaryD, Schuylkill Township, charged by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs, with credit card fraud, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property.

Trevor John Gibas, of 108 Water St., New Philadelphia, charged by New Philadelphia Sgt. Eric C. Sterner, with theft of unlawful taking of moveable property and receiving stolen property.

Mathew Robert Stehany, 23, Pottsville, charged by Pottsville Patrolman Joseph R. Welsh, with two counts each of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and one count of disorderly conduct. The police report states he used a knife to stab Timothy Evert in the leg and James Ebert in the chest in the 100 block on N. Third St.

Leo Kenneth Stephan, 56, Frackville, charged by Trooper Andrew Letcavage with theft of electric service and criminal mischief to meter box owned by PPL.

Timothy Dockery, 49, inmate at the state correctional facility near Frackville in Ryan Township, simple assault and harassment of a correctional officer.

John Daniel Scully, 59, Mahanoy City, charged by Trooper Scott Grochowski with DUI of alcohol and lighting equipment not operational when stopped on SR54 in Mahanoy City.

Gregory Allen Spiess Jr., 36, Orwigsburg, charged by Trooper Mark W. Knock with criminal attempt to commit criminal mischief by pouring gasoline at the base of a utility pole on South River Street, Cressona, and starting a fire, receiving stolen property (can filled with gasoline), creating a dangerous burning condition, and criminal mischief to property.

Lewis Francis Mellor Jr., 31, Weatherly, charged by Saint Clair Patrolman Chad H. Seitzinger, with retail theft from Walmart Store.
