Carbon County Association of Realtors is conducting a winter coat drive. Coats, new and gently used, will be accepted now through Nov. 20. Coats will be accepted at any real estate office in Carbon County or to Panther Valley Elementary School in Nesquehoning during normal business and school hours. Those who cannot make those hours should call for an appointment.

Coats for all age groups and all sizes are being accepted. Also accepted are winter boots, hats, gloves and scarves."Children's coats seem to be the most needed each year and the least donated," said Kimberly Rabenold, organizer.Distribution will be held from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 22, or as long as the coats last at Panther Valley Elementary School. Everyone in Carbon county is welcome to come a choose a coat.This is the third year CCAR is holding the coat drive.Each year it gets bigger, more coats are donated and more and more are given away.Anyone with questions should call the CCAR office at 610-377-8121 or Kimberly Rabenold at 610-417-8152.
