November 4, 1972 Jack Sweeney scores a pair of touchdowns to help Panther Valley gain a 19-8 victory over Blue Mountain. Sweeney reaches the end zone on short runs of one and two yards, and leads the Panthers' rushing attack with 77 yards. The winners, coached by Rich Davidyock, also score on a 17-yard pass from Gary Evans to Bernie McGorry. Defensively, PV's Ben Arthur intercepts a pair of passes while Jack Harrison leads the team in tackles.
