Ten students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently named Students of the Month for February for the 2012-2013 school year. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of tolerance. The following are quotes from each student.

Kindergarten, Kalyssa Fenstermaker: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I respect and help my friends.

Grade 1, Elsie Heckman: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I tried very hard to be polite to everyone and to keep peace in the classroom.

Grade 1, Shylah Fenstermaker: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I played with kids who didn't have friends to play with and I am nice to everyone.

Grade 2, Rebecca-Lynn Graham: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I show tolerance by always being nice to everyone and never being mean.

Grade 3, Sierra Bauer: I was chosen as Student of the Month because when someone is loud, I kindly say, "Can you please lower your voice?"

Grade 4, Stephen Puza: I try to respect others even when their opinions are different than mine. I try to get along with everyone.

Grade 5, Brian Bauer: I quiet people when they are too loud. I also laugh with others, not at them.

Grade 6, Adam Gilbert: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I try to be honest with everything I do and say. I keep my promises and I admit it when I make a mistake.

Grade 7, Joshua Jurick: I was chosen as Student of the Month because I am kind to my classmates and help them.

Grade 8, Brittney Ziegler: I am kind to others. I help others that need help. I bring in stuff for people's birthdays.
