May 16, 1951 Lehighton's George Sipple and Lamont Smith both claim two events and also aid the winning four-fifth mile relay team in leading the Indians to a 63 -31 track and field victory over Northampton. Sipple captures the 100 and 220, while Smith cops the 440 and mile. Lehighton, coached by Lewis Ginder, also receives first-place finishes from Larry Bisbing (broad jump), Hoffman (half-mile) and Boyer (pole vault).
