Lehighton High School two-sport star Dylan Flexer has announced plans to continue his academic and football careers at Mansfield University.
Flexer was captain of the Indians' football team this past season and received the "coaches award" for dedication, drive and being able to adapt and play different positions.
At Mansfield, he will play on the sprint football team which is open to players 172-pounds or lighter.
At Lehighton, Flexer was a four-year member of both the football and wrestling teams.
During the 2012 season, Flexer made 35 tackles, had two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble from his defensive back postition. He also played some wide receiver and returned kicks for the Indians.
Flexer, the son of Randy and Karen Flexer, will major in Psychology at Mansfield.
