State police at Lehighton reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance arrests.
Troopers said Garret Mark Scott, 20, of Bowmanstown, was stopped about 7:47 p.m. on May 9 along White St., near Forge St., in Bowmanstown, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, troopers said. A further investigation revealed he had in his possession of a controlled substance. Charges will be filed, troopers added.
At 9:05 p.m. on Friday, May 10, Franco Diaz, 19, of North Bergen, N.J., was stopped along Pohopoco Drive, near Station St., in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, after being observed driving erratically. He was found to be under the influence of marijuana. He was transported to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test.
