An 18-year-old Tamaqua area man has been cited for underage drinking.

Police were dispatched to the 117 W. Broad St. for a possible intoxicated person. On scene the officer observed several juveniles in front of the business. As he spoke with the teens he observed Codey Bradford, 18, of 467 Rabbit Run Road, Andreas, appeared to have glassy eyes and slurred speech, as well as an alcohol odor on his breath.Bradford was given a portable breath test, which was positive for alcohol. He was released to the custody of a cousin.
