In the mood to bust loose and say goodbye to cabin fever?

Then spring forward and prepare to enjoy the fun-filled family experience that is the Crusaders For A Cause carnival.

The eighth annual event will be staged from May 16-19 in the Palmerton Borough Park. Hours are 5-10 May 16, 5-11 May 17, 5-11 May 18, and 2-7 May 19.

May 16 and May 19 are Kids Ride Special Day, which comes with a rides discount.

Live entertainment is scheduled each day, and there will also be crafting vendors, food vendors, and Christina's Reptile & Animal Sanctuary.

Christina Obrecht, president of Crusaders For A Cause, said "we hope we can hit the $5,000 mark to donate to local charities."

"Things went very good last year," Obrecht said. "We're hoping there will be no rain this year."

Crusaders For A Cause was incorporated in May, 2009, under the Non-Profit Corporation Law of 1988 as amended, to help raise money for various charities.

Those charities include Relay For Life/American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, March of Dimes, and many other community causes or projects.
