A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Lyle A. Augustine II, trading as Crocodile Lyle's Bar & Grill, 212 Center St., Jim Thorpe, was cited for sold, furnished, and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The alleged incident occurred on March 14.

The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
