A Carbon County man, who fled police on Tuesday afternoon and became the subject of a manhunt involving several police departments, was apprehended on Thursday.
State police at Lehighton said James L. Dennis, 27, of 228 North Ave., Jim Thorpe, fled on foot after Jim Thorpe police attempted to take him into custody in the borough. He was wanted by the state board of probation and parole for a violation.
On Thursday troopers apprehended Dennis at Bankway and Bridge streets, in Lehighton, about 6 p.m. He was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped.
Dennis was then turned over the state parole officers.
