Chestnuthill Township, in cooperation with Close the Loop, invites the public to Free Give and Take Day, Saturday, April 6 at Chestnuthill Township Park, Route 715, Brodheadsville. The Give part is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Take part is from 1-4 p.m.

Give and Take Days are a way to reuse items that are too good to throw away but you don't have a use for anymore. The public may bring reusable items between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., then take away anything from 1-4 p.m. You don't have to bring something to take something.

Examples of what you can bring are: furniture, household goods, pots/pans, books, CDs, toys, bric-a-brac, bikes, plants, kitchenware, garden tools, furniture (must be in good condition to be accepted,) gently used clothing, etc.

Examples of things that will NOT be accepted: electronics, TV's, computer monitors, HHW, etc. Township residents can take electronics to the township recycling center at no charge.

You must provide your own vehicle for transporting items. There will be volunteers to help and review the items being dropped off.
